This season, we have had the pleasure of hosting a traditional Christmas luncheon for K-Grade 5 kids from Mee Yah Moh School. The event was organized by Roy Bird and MCed by Damien Radcliffe. This is part of an annual tradition by Northern Alberta Pioneers & Descendants Association to bring the Holidays cheer to more students in central Edmonton schools. The kids were so happy to be welcomed into the beautiful, historical Old Timers Cabin in this festive time of the year.
The children were divided in groups according to their classes, each at a table with their teacher. All got the chance to be in a group photo with their classmates by the Christmas tree at the Old Timers Cabin. Check the photo gallery on this website soon for group photos.
The food was festive and delicious: turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, buns, and juice boxes. Creative Quality Catering were the masters behind this perfect meal for the kids so our warm appreciation to them.
Kids enjoyed live seasonal songs accompanied by piano music background. They also took part in the singing. Everybody enjoyed their time and by the end of the event representatives from the school and NAPDA gave small speeches to appreciate everybody’s efforts.
