The Northern Alberta Pioneers & Descendants Association has hosted a Victorian Tea Party on Mother’s Day at the Old Timers Cabin on May 14, 2017. The attendants included community at large as well as some members’ families.
The tea party is part of NAPDA’s annual social events aiming at connecting with the community and serving a nonprofit organization. This year, the returns from the sale tickets were donated to Terra Centre for Teen Parents in Edmonton.
Tea was served using antique tea cups, pots, snack stands, spoons and creameries. Food included lunch sandwiches, fruit and desserts. Music played in the background. An antique couch ornamented the stage for photo shoots with mothers and families.
The attendants were happy to take multiple family photos in this inviting atmosphere. The photos were professionally edited and prepared. Each of the attending families received their high resolution photos through email.
Looking at multiple generations in some of these photos brings joy to the soul. Some came with their mothers. Others with daughters, mothers, and grandmothers displaying three generations of love at one tea table.
